You do not have to keep feeling stuck in patterns shaped by trauma, anxiety, painful relationships, or difficult life transitions. I offer experienced, integrative psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and families—in person in my private Scarsdale office and remotely throughout New York.
I do not follow a fixed formula. I draw from a broad range of therapies and adjust the work to your needs, goals, and pace.
My Scarsdale office offers a calm, discreet setting for people who value privacy and focused, one-on-one care.
You can meet with me in person or virtually across New York, depending on what fits your life and the work we are doing.
A body-based approach that works with physical sensations and nervous-system responses connected to stress and trauma.
An approach that helps you understand conflicting parts of yourself with greater clarity and compassion.
An attachment-based approach that helps couples recognize negative patterns and build a stronger, more secure emotional bond.
A traumatic experience can continue to affect you long after the event itself is over. You may avoid certain situations, feel on edge, or react to things more strongly than you expect. Trauma therapy can help reduce the hold those experiences have on your present life.
EMDR is central to my work because it can help when talking has brought understanding, but the emotional impact still feels unchanged. It offers a structured way to work with distressing memories and the beliefs, sensations, and reactions connected to them.
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. During EMDR, I guide you through a structured process that uses bilateral stimulation—often eye movements or alternating taps—while you focus on specific parts of an upsetting experience. The goal is to help the brain reprocess the memory so it feels less immediate and has less influence over the present.
EMDR can be used as part of ongoing therapy and may also be provided virtually when clinically appropriate.
If you are in ongoing therapy and have hit an impasse around a specific trauma, I offer short-term adjunctive EMDR while you continue working with your current therapist. This is focused, targeted work on a defined issue.
I welcome referrals from clinicians as well as individuals seeking this service on their own.
